When I read that you were the “Original Carpenter,” before I got to the part about the door, I thought maybe you were there with Richard and Karen at the start. “We’ve only just begun….”Who was that Carpenters aficionado at Syracuse? Ah, Rob Horberger (sp!). No time to Google.
Carpenters are weird for me — I mean, that voice. But then, that material. Yeah, Rob Hoerburger was big on all that pure pop — Carole King, Carpenters, that sort of thing, totally unapologetic about it, which I liked, ’cause it was a tough time to admit you liked any pop. Last I knew he was writing in the music world, but that might have been 10 years ago.
