In the 1925 census, he was 28, a road laborer, living on Cascade Avenue on Lake Placid with his wife Hazel, son Harold, and “mother” Ella Whitney, age 68. Perhaps she was Hazel Given’s mother, or perhaps she was the mother of Lynn Ellis Whitney, Kenneth’s brother-in-law, or of course both could be true.
20In 1930, he was living on Cascade Road in North Elba, with wife Hazel and son Harold, near Lynn Whitney, Forest Peck, and Alfred Peck. He owned property worth 5500 and was no a farm, listed his occupation as truck driver for construction. He said he first married at 24.

Kenneth R. Peck Dies in Florida
Services for Kenneth Ray Peck, 52, who died Friday afternoon at Winter Park, Fla. were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pilgrim Holiness church after a prayer service by the Rev. Donald Hardy at 1:30 p.m. at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lynn Whitney, Sentinel Heights. Burial was in North Elba cemetery. Mr. Peck, who had been in ill health for several years went to Florida with Mrs. Peck on Oct. 22. Born in North Elba on Feb. 19, 1897, he was the son of Alfred and Eunice Williams Peck and has been a resident of this community all of his life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel Given Peck, a son, Harold of Canajoharie, N.Y.,; a brother, Louis of Schenectady; four sisters, Mrs. Whitney and Mrs. Irene Mihill of Lake Placid and Mrs. Guy Johnson and Mrs. Jesse Johnson, both of Schenectady and one grandchild.
