This obituary for Louis W. Peck of Broadalbin, New York appeared in
The Daily (Schenectady) Gazette, Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999.

BROADALBIN -- Louis W. Peck, 59, of Wendell Avenue, died Thursday
at home after a short illness.

Mr. Peck was born in Auburn and lived in Saranac Lake as a child.

He moved to Glenville and was educated in local schools. he had
resided in Broadalbin for the past 20 years.

He was a certified auto technician and worked for Jim Longwell
Chevrolet in Amsterdam for 19 years, retiring in 1998.

Mr. Peck served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of American Legion Post 337 and United Methodist
Church in Amsterdam. He was a former member of Unity Masonic
Lodge 191 in Holland, Mich.

Survivors include his wife, Donna J. Betters Peck, whome he married
May 21, 1994; a son, Louis W. Peck III of Montague, Mass.; two
daughters, Terri L. Nickerson of Millers Falls, Massl, and Cindy L. Peck
of Greenfield, Mass.; his mother, Rosina Peck of Glenville; a brother,
Joseph Sippio of Boulder, Colo.; three stepdaughters, Nancy Moore of
Broadalbin, Donna Keene of Albany and Kristie Drozinski of Perth; 14
grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral
Home, 38 W. Main St.

Burial will be in Perth Cemetery.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 this afternoon and 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral
home.

Contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice in care of the
funeral home.
