MRS. MELVIN PECK
Mrs. Blanche Peck, wife of Melvin Peck, passed away in Placid Memorial Hospital on September 14 following a long illness. She was born October 19, 1909, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bowen.
She lived all her life in Wilmington and attended the village school.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Peck, and nine children: Frances, Mrs. Betty Terry, Mrs. Carl Terry (Ruth), Mrs. Bruce Hare (Helen), Harold, Mrs. Charles Cornick (Nancy), Mrs. James Smith (Shirley), Virginia, and Melvin Peck, Jr. Chipper, one brother, Russell Hickock. She had three grandchildren: Gary and Connie Terry and Tammy Ann Cornick.
Services were held at the Zaumetzer - Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks on September 17. Brother Gunther of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Interment was in the Wilmington Cemetery.
Mrs. Peck was the hub of her family. Her children, her husband, relatives and friends will sadly miss her.
The out-of-town attendants at the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Vedder, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kilburn, Mrs. Celia Kilburn, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Krakos, Mr. Kenneth Kilburn, Jr., all of Balston, Mrs. Evelyn Chamberlain of Stony Creek, Mr. Oliver Winch of Glens Falls, Miss Brenda Wakefield of Beaver Falls.
