Anthony Sisario, 49, of 28 Lark Street in Amsterdam, was killed in the explosion of the Imperial Fireworks Company on Aqueduct Road in Niskayuna on June 6, 1953. According to the Schenectady Gazette article, he was a part-time worker at the fireworks company, who had been employed in Mohawk Carpet mills for 22 years. “Born in Italy, he came to this country in 1922. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church and the Isola-Salina society. Suvrivors are his wife, Lena; four sons, Felix, presently on leave from the army; Frank, a veteran of Korea, John and Donald; three brothers, Barney, Samuel and Frank Sisario, all of Amsterdam, and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Crisalle, or San Diego, Calif.”
