Rotterdam - Earl Peck, 71, died peacefully at home on December 27, 2005, after a long illness. born in Wilmington, NY, to the late Forrest Peck and the late Eva Fletcher Peck, he was an area resident most of his life. Earl was a truck driver for 10 years, employed by the Schenectady County Highway Department. He was a long-time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Schenectady Lodge 251, where he held various offices. He was also a member of the Rotterdam Elks Club, the Rotterdam Eagles Club, and the Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the Pioneer Gas Engine Association in Schoharie. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Truelove Peck; his sons, William “Al” Allen Peck of Schenectady and Forrest “Skip” Earl Peck of Clifton Park; his daughter, Marsha Dunn of Schenectady; his grandson, William Allen Peck, Jr.; his granddaughters, Dusty Luckhurst, Alisha Peck, and Heather Peck; his great-grandson, Bruce; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Peck of Schenectady. A celebrant service, led by Celebrant Davia boyle, will be held on Friday, 11 a.m. at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State Street, Schenectady. Calling Hours will be on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
