Man the Blame-Thwarter!

Currently involved in a huge exercise to deflect blame for an event that hasn’t happened, and may not happen, and one that, if it does happen, happens because my previous recommendations were roundly ignored. So now I, of course, am in charge of deflecting blame for something I recommended strongly against doing. No problem. The Blame-Thwarter’s big, but it’s hard to position, and you can’t really deflect in a particular direction, so no telling who gets splattered. (At the same time, I have to pretend there is no blame-thwarter. That big thing? No, not a blame-thwarter. That? That’s, uh, that’s our new climbing wall. With a turret-mounted cannon.)

Whatever happened to becoming an astronaut? Or a fireman? Or even starving artist?
