In the 1925 census, I find her living at 123 Lafayette Street, Sch'dy, listed as a roomer in the house of Mary E. Capen (39 yo). Ruth is 22, saleswoman Green's Bakery.

Clipping, hand-dated Sept. 6th, 1973 -- “Ruth Cath, W. Glenville, Dies at 76 Miss Ruth M. Cath, 76, of Waters Road, West Glenville, died yesterday in Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Miss Cath, a native of West Glenville, had lived in that area all of her life. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the West Glenville Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Troost, pastor of First Reformed Church, Glenville, will officiate. There will be no calling hours.”
36An article in the Schenectady Gazette, 12/12/1970, “Raw Materials of History” by Neil B. Reynolds, credits Ruth with providing him with some financial records of a local country doctor, supposed to be E.A. Young.
Death Notice, Schenectady Gazette, Sept. 7, 1973:
CATH - September 6, 1973, Ruth M. Cath of Waters Road, West Glenville; sister of Mrs. Ernest (Hazel) Smith, Mrs. Marion Carrono [sic] and Miss Helen Cath all of Schenectady, Miss Margaret Cath of Scotia; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside service 11 o’clock Saturday morning at the West Glenville Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the White Funeral Home, Scotia.
