Died at Ellis. Obit says had lived in Schenectady about 19 years. Survived by Hazel Cath; his parents, the 6 sisters, two brothers. First of the family to die, though who knows if there were any infant deaths.

Obituary Schenectady Gazette, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1931:
William Cath
William Cath of 911 Emmett street, died yesterday in the Ellis Hospital after three months illness. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock in Baxter’s parlors, Brandywine avenue by the Rev. William Dumont of Glenville. The funeral parlors will be open tonight after 7 o’clock.
Mr. Cath was born in Glenville and lived 19 years in this city. Besides his wife, Hazel Caswell Cath, he leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tunis Cath of Glenville, and six sisters, Mrs. Florence Weaver, Mrs. Robert Carano [sic], Mrs. Ernest Smith, and Ruth, Helen and Margaret Cath, also two brothers, Harold and Howard Cath.

CATH - February 2, 1931, William Walter, husband of Hazel Caswell Cath of 911 Emmett street.
Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Baxter’s funeral parlors, 735 Brandywine avenue. Relatives and friends are invited. Funeral parlor open Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock.
