He has a horizontal military brass marker, says “Walter E. Cath / US Air Force / Korea / May 18 1933 (cross) Nov 28 1988.” His wife appears not to be buried anywhere near.

Gazette obit: “Walter Cath, School Retiree -- BALLSTON SPA -- Walter E. Cath, 55, of Cameron’s Trailer Park died Monday at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, Mr. Cath was a lifelong area resident. He served in the Army Air Forces during the early 1950s. Mr. Cath was a driver with the Hallenbeck Distributors in Schenectady for 30 years and a custodian with Ballston Spa central school system for two years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include his wife, Helen Weirman Cath, a brother, Harold Cath of Scotia, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Buchanan of Ormond Beach, Fla.36

Helen Cath of Stillwater, NY, passed away suddenly on November 16, 2012. She was born on December 20, 1939. Survived by Brett Baker of Albany, Michael Baker of Maryland, Julie Morris of Florida; one sister, Betty Koval; and one brother, Charles Weirman; several cousins, nieces, nephews; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There will be a memorial at 10 a.m. on December 1, 2012 at the Quaker Springs United Methodist Church. Helen worked many years for Colonial Plumbing, and as a pet photographer. In lieu of flowers, donations to Animal Protection Agency, 63 Maple Avenue, Scotia, New York. Online remembrances may be made at www.chasesmithfamily.com
