Future Bride - Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Myra Dorothy Woodworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison E. Woodworth of Ballston Lake, to Frederick Guy Johnson, son of Mrs. Gladys Bourdeau of this city and Guy R. Johnson of Rotterdam.
Miss Woodworth, a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake high school, is employed by her parents at Myra’s Grocery. Mr. Johnson attended Nott Terrace high school and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is employed by Union Fern.
The wedding is planned for April, 1962.

Frederick Guy Johnson, son of Mrs. Paul Bourdeau of 2917 Amsterdam avenue and Mr. Guy Johnson of 20 North Jay street has left for San Antonio, Texas, for basic training in the air force.
Johnson, 18, attended Nott Terrace high school before enlisting in August.

Obituary
Schenectady - Frederick “Fred” G. Johnson, 65, of Rotterdam, died suddenly Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Born in Lake Placid, the son of Guy and Gladys Johnson, Fred had resided locally most of his life, where he attended local schools. He was employed for 30 years in the Maintenance Dept. of Schenectady International, Rotterdam Junction. He was a member of Rotterdam Eagles FOE 3610. Fred enjoyed bowling, golfing and travel. In 1988, Fred was joined in marriage with Phyllis DiGiandomenico Johnson. He is survived by Phyllis and her children, Richard DiGiandomenico of Rotterdam and John DiGiandomenico of Salt Lake City, Utah; his former wife, Linda Gorman Johnson and their children, Jannien “GiGi” Davila and Jami Liska, both of Florida; former wife, Myra Woodruff, and their children, Fred Dressett and daughter, Myra Willix all of Florida. Fred was the brother of Lois Pallotolo of Connecticut, Luella Thompson of Schenectady, Russell Johnson of Florida, Anthony “Tony” Johnson of Rotterdam, Duane Johnson of Pennsylvania and the late Phyllis Pasquarella, Milan “Tom” Johnson, Carl and Faye Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and close friends.

Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Rotterdam. A funeral service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in St. Cyril Cemetery, Rotterdam. Contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to Toys for Tots or the Make A Wish Foundation of Northeastern New York, Inc.
